Open Voxalike in Your Browser
Launch Voxalike in a supported browser and allow microphone access when prompted. The game runs in the browser, so you can begin without installing a standalone game client.
Use headphones when possible to keep game audio from being picked up by your microphone.
Choose a Dub Pack
Pick the Dub Pack you want to perform. Dub Packs provide the scenes, characters, roles, and dialogue used during a dubbing session.
For a first session, choose a pack with a manageable number of roles and lines.
Run Mic Check
Complete Mic Check before recording so Voxalike can confirm that your browser is receiving microphone audio. Speak normally and make sure your voice is being captured clearly.
If no voice is detected, check the browser's microphone permission and selected input device.
Start the Dub
Begin the selected scene and follow the character prompts. When your assigned line appears, record your performance using your microphone.
Read the upcoming dialogue before recording so you can match the timing and tone of the scene.
Record Character Lines
Perform each assigned line as it appears. Voxalike combines the recorded takes with the Dub Pack's scene so each character receives the player's recorded dialogue.
Keep your microphone distance consistent between lines for more even audio.
Retry a Take
If a line sounds wrong or you want a different performance, retry the take before continuing. Re-recording lets you replace an earlier attempt with a better version.
Use retries for missed words, clipping, background noise, or performances you simply want to improve.
Complete Your First Dub
Continue until all required character lines are recorded and the scene is complete. The completed dub can then be played back as the finished performance.
Review the finished scene to see how your recordings work together with the original Dub Pack.
Try Solo or Multiplayer
Solo lets you handle a dubbing session yourself, while Multiplayer distributes roles and lines among several players. Co-op supports groups of up to 12 players, while PVP supports up to 8 players.
Solo is the simplest way to learn recording controls before joining a larger room.

Voxalike Multiplayer Guide
Create or join private rooms, synchronize the host's Dub Mod, assign lines, and start recording with friends. Voxalike supports Co-op sessions for up to 12 players and PVP sessions for up to 8.
Co-op

Choose Co-op or PVP
Select the multiplayer format for your session. Co-op supports up to 12 players, while PVP supports up to 8 players.
Use Co-op when the focus is creating a dub together and PVP when you want a competitive session.
Create a Private Room
One player creates the multiplayer room and becomes the host. The room generates a code that can be shared with the other players.
Keep the room code inside your group if you want the session to remain private.
Join with the Room Code
Other players choose the join option and enter the host's room code. Once connected, participants appear together in the same room.
Double-check the code if the room cannot be found.
Install the Host's Dub Mod
Players need the Dub Mod being used by the host so everyone has the content required for the same session. Install the host's selected mod before attempting to start.
Having everyone on the same Dub Mod avoids missing-content problems when the room begins.
Choose Line Assignment
Multiplayer can use different approaches for distributing dialogue. Round Robin rotates lines between participating players, while Claim Mode allows players to claim the lines or roles they will perform.
Round Robin works well for automatic rotation, while Claim Mode gives the group more control over who performs each part.
Ready Up
After the required Dub Mod is installed and the group is prepared, each participant marks themselves ready. The host can proceed once the room is ready to begin.
Run Mic Check before readying up so microphone problems do not interrupt the session.
Record Your Assigned Lines
Follow the selected assignment mode and record the dialogue given to you. Continue through the scene as Voxalike moves between players and character lines.
Stay ready even when another player is recording because your next line may arrive quickly.
Recover from a Disconnect
If a player loses connection, return to the multiplayer screen and reconnect to the room using the group's room information. Make sure the required Dub Mod remains installed before continuing.
Keep the room code available until the multiplayer session is finished.
Finish the Multiplayer Dub
Continue until the room completes the required dialogue and the dub is finished. The combined recordings create a shared performance featuring the participating players.
Larger groups work best with Dub Packs that provide enough roles or lines for the number of participants.

Voxalike Video Export Guide
Turn a completed performance into a shareable landscape video, vertical short-form video, or audio export. Multiplayer players can also reopen recent completed dubs while temporary recovery data is still available.
Complete the Dub
Finish the required character recordings and reach the completed result screen. The finished takes are combined with the Dub Pack scene before export options become relevant.
Let the Browser Prepare the Result
Voxalike performs the video preparation in the browser. Keep the page open while the finished dub is being prepared for export.
Choose a Landscape Video
Use the standard landscape option when you want the completed dub in a conventional widescreen format suitable for normal video sharing.
Choose a Vertical Video
Use the vertical output option when preparing a Shorts-style version designed for portrait-oriented social video.
Export Audio Only
Choose the audio export when you only need the completed dubbed audio rather than a rendered video file.
Retry a Failed Export
If video preparation or export is interrupted, use the available retry flow rather than rerecording the entire dub. Keep the current result available while trying the export again.

Recent Dub recovery data is temporary. Reopen and save any result you still need before its browser-side recovery data is removed.
